PROCESS quality improvement ENGINEER
MILPITAS, CA
Every manufactured product undergoes certain processes before reaching the consumers, and process engineers are in charge of studying these processes within the context of engineering. They evaluate efficiency, quality and safety of the process, and they make suggestions on how to improve the process when needed.
They evaluate procedures such as interactions, equipment design, and the system performance involved with the manufacturing of that particular product. Changes may be recommended when processes need improvements. Engineers will also have to document their work, use diagrams and charts, which are passed along to manufacturing and other departments.
Extensive production and manufacturing knowledge is needed in order to do this job proficiently. Ideally a bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field is needed, as well as several years of experience.ion content!
